Tattoo Booking Software: From Inquiry to Confirmed Appointment
OpenInk Studio is tattoo booking software for independent artists and studios. Clients send an idea, placement, size, budget and reference images through your consultation form. You review the request, discuss missing details and send a booking link. A paid deposit confirms the appointment and adds it to your calendar.
Collect a request you can actually review
Put your public page in your Instagram bio or on your website. Give clients a place to browse your work and read booking information before filling in the consultation form. Adjust the fields, options and required answers to suit the work you take on. Clients can attach up to six reference images.
- Ask for a subject, placement and approximate size together.
- Separate a client's budget from your own quote.
- Keep the reference images and original answers available during review.
Keep the conversation attached to the inquiry
Read the original form submission and images in the consultation. Reply there when a placement, size or deadline needs clarification. The artist decides whether the idea fits their work, what preparation is needed and what price to offer. Closing a request remains a separate decision from booking it.
Offer times and explain the deposit before payment
Send a booking link with the time options you can offer, a fixed deposit or a percentage, and your cancellation and rescheduling terms. The client sees those terms before choosing a time and paying. An unpaid link does not reserve the slot; payment confirms it. Deposits go to your connected Stripe account.
- Check the offered dates and time zone before sending.
- Use a link expiry between 12 hours and seven days.
- Read the pricing page for client service fees, minimums and regional exceptions.
Bring confirmed appointments into the calendar
Paid bookings enter the calendar automatically. Add appointments agreed elsewhere manually, and block out days when you are unavailable. A connected Google Calendar can keep personal commitments out of the offered times. Confirmation emails and the reminder on the day before the appointment keep both sides informed.
Choose a solo or studio workflow
Free supports one artist with an OpenInk badge on the public page. Artist Pro removes the badge. Studio Pro adds team seats, shared inquiries and access for owners and managers. Public registration currently leads to early access; joining the list is free and does not require a card.
Set up one complete booking journey
Start with a single inquiry you can follow from beginning to end. Use an example without real client details while checking the process, then share the public entry once the wording and terms fit your practice.
- Publish your identity, portfolio and booking information.
- Build the consultation form using the field guide.
- Review the request and clarify the brief with the client.
- Set deposit terms, send the link and confirm the calendar entry.
